SHEESH! Issa Blackity Black Joy Fest is an annual festival celebrating Black JOY through art, music, performance, education, activity, reflection, liberation, and rest.
Last year SHEESH! was an in-person festival held in Philadelphia, PA and Gaithersburg, MD featuring performances by Jaylene Clarke Owens, ILL DOOTS, and Avery Goodname. SHEESH! brought JOY through Community Art Projects, Performances, Friendship Bracelets, and TIe-Dye.

This year, SHEESH! is an exclusive month long virtual experience where pass holders will get access to week-long virtual content led by a SHEESH! Collaborator and official SHEESH! Swagg.
Each week a SHEESH! Collaborator will share their art and how they find JOY in their work. Pass holders will get access to exclusive interviews, a playlist of the SHEESH! Collaborator's JOY inducing songs, curated Video Content such as the Personal List of Joy, and more.
And the JOY doesn't stop there! Pass holders will get to explore JOY through reflection with our Season Sponsor, BeGause of Love who will give us a "Word" every Sunday to remind us that there is JOY in the radical act of self care that is rest. We will Enact Joy with our JOY Date ideas every week where we go on a scavenger hunt for JOY.
But don't forget about our Agents of Black Joy! The SHEESH! Network has hit the streets to find out what's on Black Peoples' minds. Tune in every week as we learn "What are Black Secrets?" "How do you mind your Black Business?" or "What is Black Joy?"
Then there's the SHEESH! Swagg! Every week, Pass holders will get Official SHEESH! Swagg in the mail. That means Button and Sticker Packs, Puzzles, Card Games, Little Books of Black Joy (small coloring and activity books meant to spark creativity in the beholder), and maybe even exclusive merch from the SHEESH! Collaborator.
Month long pass holders will also receive a copy of The SHEESH! Book of Black Joy, a 50-page book of curated Black JOY through art, photography, poetry, interviews, and writings of Black artists from around the country. We received over 200 submissions to create the Book of Black Joy and we are very excited to get to share this collection with our Month Long Pass Holders!

The Book of Black Joy
This year SHEESH! is celebrating Black creativity with the SHEESH! Book of Black Joy. Selected from over 200 submissions from Creatives from all around the world, this 50-page curation of art, photography, poetry, short stories, journaling prompts and more was put together with the intention to spark Joy in its beholder.
SHEESH! celebrates Joy through Black Creativity!
This book will be available to all Month Long Pass holders and available for purchase in the OMG! Store.
Fan of Home w/ the Homies?
Home w/ the Homies is a podcast where you, a future and potential homie, get to hang with the Homies! And everyone know at a Hang with the Homies we are going to play some games. And now you can bring the Homies to your Home with the new card games Eat! Eat! Eat! and Homie Don't Play Dat!
Eat! Eat! Eat! is an improv game where we eat some notable figures. And we are not eating them any type of way. Players must decide how they will be serving up some Notable Names. Will the Beyoncé Baby Back Ribs or the SpongeBob Sponge Cake sway guests to RSVP to your dinner party?
Homie Don't Play Dat! is a game for the adventurous Homies. Players will take turns reading Adventurous Scenarios and have to be able to say with their gut that they could absolutely participate in the Adventure. But be careful, the first Homie to get three strikes will become the Homie that don't play that and thus a Clown.
